Despite the fact that my upside-down plan was to aim for 100 rejection letters, it’s still hard when I actually get them. In the past two weeks I’ve had two. I suppose I should look on the positive side and see that I have sent two pieces of work out into the big wide world. But still I’m only human and it does take me a little while to get over it. Sometimes I think fuck it and just send out a few more stories, but mostly the rejection letters (emails) do make me stop writing for a little while. But, it won’t be for long.
So, this week, I’m licking my metaphorical wounds and hiding away in a good book.
